Nautilus sighting on Anne's Reef

We’re incredibly fortunate to have Anne’s Reef — a vibrant house reef located within a Marine Protected Area — just steps from our dive centre. Thanks to our sheltered position on Efate’s coastline, the conditions are typically calm, making for easy and enjoyable diving.

Marine Life

We frequently encounter moray eels, sea turtles, cuttlefish, sea snakes, and garden eels while diving our reef. The vibrant coral habitat is also home to a wide range of reef fish, including:

– Angelfish, surgeonfish, butterflyfish, and damselfish in every color and pattern imaginable
– The beloved clownfish (“Nemo”), along with jackfish, groupers, breams, fusiliers, and lionfish
– Plus fascinating small critters like nudibranchs and marine worms

We’re also treated to occasional special encounters with larger or rarer marine life, such as dugongs, octopuses, sharks, stingrays, manta ray, and the elusive nautilus after dark.

We haven’t spotted dolphins underwater yet, but a playful school of dolphins passes by our beach several times a week. Who knows — maybe you’ll be the first to meet them while diving!

Dive Site Highlights

Anne’s Reef features three sandy platforms at various depths, making it ideal for all experience levels and for dive training:

The Dugong Deck8 meters deep, named after frequent dugong sightings
Stingray Station10–12 meters, known for spectacular stingray encounters
Rock Star City12–18 meters, where the true stars of the reef hang out

The reef drops off at 20 meters, revealing a stunning wall perfect for deeper exploration. The reef’s network of cracks, ledges, and small caves makes it especially exciting for night diving.
